I often ran into Jack because we had the same hobby of collecting and admiring antique radio gear. He was a gentleman, always kind and courteous, and a grand fellow. He shared with me some of his experiences as a soldier in the Korean War. I believe people of his era were tougher than we are these days. He will be missed.

I will truly miss you Uncle Jack. I always wanted you to be my father when I was small and spent summers at your house. My fondest childhood memory was when I was told to use my fork while eating and you said "Fingers were invented before forks" You were so funny and witty. You made me laugh and feel loved and that was a big reason why I loved you so much. See you in Heaven when I get there. Tell daddy Hi for me. Gail.(Bob Carr's middle daughter)
