John Anderson

John Edward Anderson Sr. age 73, of Des Moines passed away Sunday, October 21, 2007 at the Kavanaugh Hospice on 56th Street. A visitation will be held Thursday evening, the 25th of October from 5 to 8 pm at Hamilton’s Southtown funeral home. Cremation will take place after the visitation.
John was a longtime resident of the Des Moines area. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force, after over 20 years of service. He had also worked at Woolco as a front end alignment auto technician. He was a member of the VFW Post 738 here in Des Moines.
John enjoyed country music, and especially his time with his coffee buddies at the Hy-Vee store on SouthEast 14th Street.
Those left to mourn are his son John Anderson Jr, his daughters Debbie (Chris) Dietrick and Sandra (Bill)Crisp; his grandchildren: John (Linda) Dietrick, Brittanie Dietrick, John Anderson III, and Mason Anderson. His great granddaughter Isabell Dietrick. Also left at his sisters Eleanor Johnson and Sarah (Bob) Scoville, his former wife Jean Anderson, along with many nieces, nephews and friends, and his very special friend Karen Smith.

Dad its been almost 2 months now that you left us I am trying to stay strong but I miss you so much our phone calls 2 or 3 times a week I keep reaching for the phone but then relize heaven doesnt have a phone I am so glad for the time we had together I think of you all day long and miss you so much please keep looking out for me because I know your with me i can tell. love your only son John JR
