Dorothy McBurney

Dorothy Evelyn McBurney, 76, was born January 7, 1931 in Des Moines and passed away Friday, October 19, 2007. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Monday, October 22, 2007 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave. with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery to follow. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Dorothy was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and she had a passion for quilting.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Diana Dauphine of Post Falls,Idaho; Robert (Marge) McBurney of West Des Moines; Verlin (Vanessa) McBurney of Grimes and their son, Andrew (Heidi) and their sons Trevor, Hunter and Andrew, Jr.; Dale McBurney of Des Moines; and Karla (Roger) Radda of Urbandale and their children JD, Eric, Christina and Stephanie; 12 other grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and her beloved dog, Timi Jo. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lyle McBurney; parents, Cecil and Marguerite Tully and one brother. Cecil Tully Jr.
