Glen Frick

Glen Frick, 54, passed away on September 30, 2015. He was born June 7, 1961, in Davenport, Iowa, to Lloyd and Margaret Frick.
Glen graduated from Ankeny High School in 1979 and graduated from DMACC. He was a professional truck driver for 35 years for Sunrise Dairy and PDI.
Glen took part in truck rodeos and was an Iowa Truck Driving Champion. He loved anything with engines and wheels. Glen enjoyed attending and participating in car shows and rallies as well as motorcycle and snowmobile trips.
Glen is survived and lovingly remembered by his mother, Margaret; siblings, Gary Frick and Lori Frick; children, Tara Frick, Nathan Frick, and Emilee Utterson; and granddaughter, Tabitha. He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 5, 2015, at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, 1 NE 60th Avenue, Des Moines. The family encourages you to drive your motorcycle or classic vehicle to honor Glen. A memorial service will follow at 12:00 p.m. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 517 SW Des Moines Street in Ankeny.
Memorials may be given to the Iowa State Blue Ribbon Foundation or Greater Des Moines Rebuilding Together/Habitat for Humanity. His family also suggests taking a day to “pay it forward” as Glen did many times.

We at the Iowa Motor Truck Association always enjoyed Glen participating in the Iowa Truck Driving Championships. He was a great person and an excellent truck driver, who took his skill very seriously. He will be missed. Our prayers are with the family.

What a guy! I always enjoyed my conversations with Glen and we have been pals for almost 40 years; a most interesting fellow and forever upbeat. My most heartfelt sympathies to his friends and family.
