Henry Marinus

Henry Wayne Marinus, 82, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2007, at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines. Henry was born May 4, 1925 in Runnells, Iowa. He worked as a route salesman for Pepsi-Cola, was a manager of Dart Drug in Landover, Maryland, and was a member of the Army in the Korean War. Henry was also President of the Blind Veterans Association and a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his daughters, Kathleen M. Worley and Marcia Nicholson; step-son, Harry E. Simpson; sisters, Gladys Weaver, Iola VanderWilt, and Darlene Head; 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren. Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Agnes Beintema; wives, Mary and Nina.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at Evergreen Church of Christ, 2215 Evergreen Ave., Des Moines. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Monday, October 22, 2007 at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to his family in Henry’s loving memory.
