Johnie Woodrow Wallace, 69, passed away after a battle with cancer Friday, September 25, 2015, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

Johnie was born May 4, 1946, in Montgomery, TN to John and Maggie Wallace.

He enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, taking walks, and junking. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

Johnie is survived by his daughter, Melissa Seaman and her children, Nichole, Joshua, and Abbigail Seaman; granddaughter, Crystal Wallace; siblings, Sue Anthony, JoAnn (Bill) Welch, and Willie Wallace; friend, Kay Risius and her children, Jonathan, Justin, and Sabrina Dixon; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Johnathan Wallace; infant daughter, Alysa Wallace; sister, Virgie Lindenmeyer; and brother-in-law, Ron Anthony.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
