Vivian F. Warburton
September 22, 2015
Vivian F. Warburton, 78, passed away on September 22, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center. She was born on January 12, 1937 in Des Moines to Lester and Ruth (Tyler) Monaco.
In her younger years, Vivian enjoyed attending the Iowa State Fair, singing karaoke, dancing, and tending to her flower gardens. She liked listening to country music, and on any given day you could probably find her eating peaches and oranges. Vivian also enjoyed spoiling her Siberian Husky, Gabby and Sheltie, Gus.
Vivian loved cooking large Italian meals and eating out. She also enjoyed ceramics, crafts, and her dogs. She could tell a good joke and listening to a good joke. Above all else, she cherished her family, especially her grandson, and their time spent together.
She worked at a Doctor’s office for 13 years in West Des Moines. She then went on to bartend on the eastside of Des Moines, where she made hundreds of friends. She retired after 15 years of bartending.
She touched the lives of all she knew in an unforgettable way with compassion and pure kindness. She had a smile that you could never forget.
She was the best mother friend, grandmother and aunt to all of her family and loved her family beyond words.
She will be loved always by those she know and deeply missed in their hearts.
She is survived by her son, Richard Warburton; son-in-law, John Bonk; daughter, Andrea Warburton; grandson, Luke Warburton; significant other of 20 years, John Brumbaugh; brother, Monty Monaco; dogs, Gabby and Gus; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; parents, and her sisters, Toni and Virginia.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines. Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 PM on Friday, September 25, 2015 at the funeral home. Burial will follow services at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

So sorry to hear of your loss. I knew Vivian for many years, as she is my sister Judy Warburton sister in law.
Spent a lot of time with Vivian when her kids were little. She was a very kind person.

My thoughts are with the family. Vivian made me laugh when we were together. She was a strong, unique lady which I am glad I had the opportunity to meet. I know she is somewhere beautiful!
