Service Details
Norman Hick, 94, was born December 7, 1920 in Des Moines, the son of Roy and Mabel (Curry) Hick. He passed away peacefully Saturday, September 19, 2015 at the Rehabilitation Center of Des Moines.
Norman is survived by his son, Robert (Angela) Lindsey; daughter, Lisa Boots; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Dale Hick; other loving relatives and many special friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty (Lindsey) Hick; an infant grandson and his siblings.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Rising Sun Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 12:30 p.m. until service time Wednesday at Rising Sun Church of Christ, 6390 NE Rising Sun Drive in Pleasant Hill. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Hamilton’s Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.

I am sorry to hear of your loss althow you might not know who i am my mom was with marvin hick and he had adopted me when i was 5.And my sister is sarah (hick) whitton almost everyone knows her.. lol ..I hardly talk to anyone any more but i just want to say sorry for the loss of a family member..it is a painful time ..GOD BLESS YOU ALL

I worked with Norm at Townsend Engineering and remember him as a really great friend and amazed at his dedication to a fitness routine. He did better and more than us younger guys. His car collection was amazing and one of his most treasured possessions. What a great guy - he will be missed. Our sympathy to all the family.
