Priscilla Staecker, 69, died on Thursday, October 18, 2007 at Taylor House from cancer. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, October 22, 2007 at Lutheran Church of the Cross, 1701 8th St SW, Altoona. Visitation will be held 4-6 p.m. Sunday at the church.
Priscilla was born December 4, 1937 to Henry and Luella Miller in Pomeroy. She worked at Meredith Corp. and NeoData as a client account manager. Priscilla was a member of Lutheran Church of the Cross and formerly of Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Priscilla is survived by her husband, Truman; children, LuAnn (Ted) Lesher, Julie (Doug) Williams, and Tom (Dixie) Staecker; grandchildren, Jessica (Mitchell) Cooper, Eric Gill, Elizabeth (Adam) McRoberts, Thomas and Caitlin Gill, Emma and Madison Staecker; great-grandchildren, Henry and Adeline Cooper; step-granddaughter, Ashley Williams; three brothers; three sisters; many nieces and nephews; and a host of beloved friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Lutheran Church of the Cross, Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, or Iowa Health Hospice Taylor House.
Arrangements being handled by Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home.
