Irvin P. Dameron, 93, was born October 8, 1921, in Huntsville, MO to Henry and Theresa (Teeters) Dameron. Uncle Irvin was educated in the Missouri School system. In 1945, he joined the U.S. Army. After serving his country, he was united in marriage to Louella Curry on July 7, 1948, in Bessenar, Alabama. Later, Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Dameron moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where they resided until his loving wife passed away in April of 1985.

Uncle Irvin was employed by the City of Sioux Falls and the Sioux Falls Airport. Later, as his health declined, he moved to Des Moines, Iowa with his loving family. He was an avid fan of baseball and other sports. He enjoyed spending time with his friends at the Polk County Senior Citizen Center, but most of all, Uncle Irvin loved going to church to hear the Word, the music, and to join in fellowship with his Christian friends.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, his parents, three sisters, six brothers, two nephews, one niece, three great-nephews, and one great-niece. Uncle Irvin went home Saturday, September 12, 2015.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 18, 2015 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Irvin.
