James “Mike” Brewer, 64, passed away Friday, September 4, 2015 at his home in Des Moines.

Mike was born July 22, 1951 in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of James and Dessie Brewer. He graduated from Lincoln High School. Mike was musical and had many artistic talents. He could play any instrument that he set his mind to learn.

Mike is survived by his daughter, Abbe Loraine Gantt, brother-in-law, Bryce Kaldenberg, nieces, Krissy Anderson and Lori Kaldenberg, one great niece, three great nephews, and numerous cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, James L. Brewer, mother, Dessie Glee (Bates) Brewer, and his sister, Marlys Loraine (Brewer) Kaldenberg.

Cremation has occurred and there will be no services at this time.
