Dear Sue,
I was so sorry to hear of Steve's passing. My daughter Jill called me last night to ask me if I knew he had died, which I did not know. We would run into each other around town once In a while and then about 4 years ago he showed up at my house because my 1963 Ford Falcon had an engine fire that I had called the fire station about. He was at station # 10 on that day. Please know you and your family are in my thoughts & prayers.

Sue and family, we are very sorry for your loss. I enjoyed the years I worked for Steve at Artcraft and the boys still remember some of his wise cracks from visits to the fire station - he always gave them a good laugh. It was always evident what a good dad he was and how proud he was of his family. Prayers to all of you.

We are devastated by the news of Chops passing. Steve was more than just a friend, to our family. Greg and Steve were friends for 50 years, their lives are linked together forever. I met Steve and Sue in 1981 shortly after meeting Greg. We have so many memories I could share but today one comes to mind. On Saturday in about 1991 we were living in our home on 48th street. We were awakened abruptly at 7am by the loudest horn I can remember. It was Chop, while he was out gassing up the Fire Engine he had pulled up in front of our house and was blowing the horn for our daughter Lindsey who was about 5 or 6 at the time. She never forgot that! She had her own fireman, Chopard. He was a fun loving man devoted husband, father and loyal friend. You will be missed my friend.
