Lisa Marie Newton, 44, passed away unexpectedly at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center E.R. on Friday, September 4, 2015. She was born in Des Moines, Iowa, on July 22, 1971, to Stephen and Linda Newton.
Lisa graduated from North Polk High School and enjoyed spending time with her cat, Chester.
Lisa is survived by her parents, Stephen and Linda; brothers, Michael Newton, Justin Newton, and Dylon Clark; sisters, Cathy Newton and Amanda Alsager; her niece, Brittini (Zach) Newton-Fisher; beloved cat and many friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Newton and grandmother, Margaret Taylor.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 11, 2015, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines.
Memorial donations may be directed to the Animal Rescue League or Easter Seals in loving memory of Lisa.

My heart goes out to lisa`s family. I can only imagine the pain of loseing a child. I knew lisa as a child. We played freeze tag together. She was kind and fun and never complained wen on the loosing side.(she was younger and by boby`s side). Great memories of my childhood because of the newton family. My mother will be conforting her. I'm so sorry for your loss.. We were friends in High School. She is second one from my friends from North Polk that has passed at a young age. She will be missed.

She was a beautiful person with a heart of gold. Life was not easy for her the last year or so, but she did try to keep her humor. So happy and proud she is my daughter. RIP my love
