Lois Miller

Lois Miller, 83, died on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at Norwalk Nursing and Rehab. A graveside service will be held 9:30 a.m. Monday, October 22, 2007 at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street.
Lois was born August 2, 1924 to William and Orva Hanawalt in Johnston Station and married Doyle Miller on April 28, 1946. She was a member of Fort Des Moines Presbyterian Church and worked at Younkers warehouse. Lois enjoyed her dogs, ceramics, camping, reading, and eating breakfast at Hy Vee. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Lois is survived by her daughters, Nona (Douglas) Thompson, Pamela Miller, and Donna Miller; grandchildren, Nicole (Richard) Bunch, Christine (Jon) Klingaman, Denyse Thompson, Ryan Miller, RaeLinn Miller, Rashada (Chris) Fuentes, Shane (Rebecca) Thompson, and Zeb (Kristen) Thompson; eleven great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Audrey Teegerstrom; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Miller; son, Kevin Miller; sisters, Darlene Guiberson and Dorothy Graham; brother, William Hanawalt Jr.; and parents, William and Orva Hanawalt.
