Doris Parker

Doris Parker, 78, died Monday, October 15, 2007 at Regency Care Center in Norwalk. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, October 20, 2007 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
Doris was born November 5, 1928 in Des Moines to Dewey and Mary Heaton. She married Carl Parker in 1947, to this union seven children were born. Doris was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She loved music. Her greatest joys in life were her faith and her family.
Doris is survived by three daughters, Ann (Frank) Matney, Sandy (Raymond) Edwards and Penny (Dennis) Dobbins; four sons, Mike (Andrea), Mitch (Dorothy), Mark (Vicki) and Carl (Danette) Parker; brother, Dewey Royce Heaton; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Mary; step-mother, Iola; husband, Carl; two step-sisters, Patricia Pratt and Beullah Jasinski and one step-brother, Don Johnson.
Doris will be remembered as a kind, giving and loving mother and grandmother. Her beautiful smile and warm hugs will be greatly missed.
