Stephen M. Reed “Blue Willie”, passed away August 20, 2015. He was born May 9, 1948 to Maxine (Van Dyke) and Gerald Reed in Des Moines, Iowa.

Stephen was an avid Harley Rider and an accomplished musician playing both guitar and harmonica in various blues bands in Pennsylvania.

He is survived by his brother, Jerry Reed of Des Moines, IA; sons, Stephen of Williamsport, PA, and Michael of Coin, IA; daughter, Amy of Clarinda, IA; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Stephen was preceded in death by both his parents; and grandparents.

A memorial visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm on Monday, August 24, 2015 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery at a later date.
