Brad Matthews

Bradley John Matthews, 57, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines.

Brad was born May 20, 1958, in Iowa City, Iowa to Ronald and Patricia Matthews. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Carol; daughters, Erin (Dave) Chambers and Hope Matthews; grandson, Beckham Chambers; mother, Pat Matthews; brother, Doug Matthews; and many other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Ron Matthews.

Brad loved his family and he and his grandson, Beckham, had a special bond. He enjoyed cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes. Brad will be greatly missed by family and friends alike.

A memorial visitation will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Hamilton’s Southtown, 5400 SW 9th St., Des Moines.
