Michael P. Chantler

Michael Chantler, 44, passed away on August 11, 2015, at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines. He was born November 24, 1970, in Des Moines, the son of Bruce and Gloria Chantler.

Michael was actively involved in Boy Scouts for several years in his childhood. He loved being with his family and enjoyed playing video games, listening to music, and bowling. Michael also liked spending time outdoors fishing, camping, and playing golf.

Michael is survived by his father, Bruce Chantler (Ginger Preston); sister, Chris (Matt) Brown; niece, Payton Brown; many aunts, cousins, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior, on Sunday, August 16, 2015, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to a charity of your choice in memory of Michael.
