Golda Cord

Golda Cord, 93, died October 13, 2007 at Heartland Hospice in Cartersville, Georgia. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 26, 2007 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Sunset Cemetery, Des Moines, IA. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Golda was born May 21, 1914 to Samuel and Ethel Jones in Van Wert, Iowa. She graduated from North High in 1931 and was a member and past officer of the Des Moines Women’s Bowling Association.
Golda is survived by her daughters, Kathy (Timothy) Martin of Cartersville, GA. and Sandra Warywoda of Columbia, MO; grandchildren, Jodi Siurek, Jayme Martin, Scott Warywoda and Russell Warywoda; great grandchildren, Matthew Warywoda, Jarrett Siurek and Cooper Siurek. She is also survived by her sister, Shirley Carter of Crystal Lake, IA. She was preceded in death by her husband Howard Kenneth Cord.
