Margaret M. Floyd

Margaret M. Floyd, 94, died Friday, October 12, 2007 at Bishop Drumm Care Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at Our Lady of the Americas Visitation Catholic Church with burial at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday with a Vigil Service at 7:30 p.m. at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St.
Margaret was born October 4, 1913 to Ernest and Margaret Ann Folsom in Enterprise, IA. She had worked as a Sales Representative for Younkers. Margaret was a member of Visitation Catholic Church and Visitation Rosary Society. She loved feeding birds and cooking Sunday dinner for her grandchildren.
Margaret is survived by her son, James (Carole) Floyd of West Des Moines; three grandsons, Thomas (Teresa) of Des Moines, James, Jr. (Patricia) of Orlando, FL and Eric of Kansas City, MO; two granddaughters, Debra Floyd of West Des Moines and Stephanie (Robert) Larson of Clive; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 74 years, Leonard and her son, Thomas.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bishop Drumm Care Center.
