Kim Dionne Davenport, 56, was born June 2, 1959 in Aurora, Colorado, the daughter of Edgar and Peggy (Osborne) Burke and passed away Thursday, July 9, 2015.
Kim was a member of Rose Temple 33 and Aretta Butler PGDR Circle. She was employed with Des Moines Public Schools for numerous years. Kim enjoyed traveling; but above all else, she treasured special time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Kim is survived by her children, James (Katy) Davenport III and Brittany Davenport; brother, Edgar Burke, Jr.; grandchildren, Jaelyn, Kayden, Jameson and JoVoni Davenport; and a host of other loving family and many special friends.
Cremation has occurred and services will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society in loving memory of Kim.

My prayers to the family. I knew Kim from working at Optimae. I saw her when she came to get her checks from me at the office. She was such a wonderful lady and very determined. I asked her ago much. We had a few but not enough good talks. Again I accent so sorry for your loss.

My thoughts and prayer to Kim's family. I worked with Kim for years at Meredith and then saw her in the last three years at her oncologist office. She was such a wonderful person, and friend. She adored her kids and grand babies. Cherish all the good memories she was a blessing.

Thoughts and Prayers for Brittany and your family. Only knew Kim for a short time but saw what a beautiful lady she was and the beautiful Angel she will become. RIP Kim.
