Frank Grider

Frankie (Frank) Grider, of Des Moines, passed away at Methodist Hospital on Thursday, July 9, 2015 with his family beside him. Frank was born on February 28, 1954 to Betty (Dissinger) and Jack Grider in Des Moines Iowa.
Frank enjoyed motorcycles, watching NASCAR on tv; playing bowling on the WII; fishing; his friends and most of all his cat “Ornery” plus all other animals.
Frank is survived by his sister, Pennie Dissinger (Friend Ernie); step-brother, Dennis Dissinger (Karen); step-sister, Denise Paxton (Don); aunt, Darlene Minnick; uncle, Jesse Embry; niece, Meghan Abraham; nephew, Fulton Abraham; plus a host of cousins and many close friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Betty Dissinger; grandparents, Harriet Black, Fred and Grace Dissinger; dear friend “Patsy”; and many aunts and uncles.
Memorial services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Visitation will start at 11:00 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Girdner Cemetery in Mercer, MO. at a later date.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Frank's family. Frank will be missed so much. He was like part of my family for more years than I can remember ! Wish I could have been there for him. He was there for my family when my sister Patsy was sick and then past. We'll miss you "Unkie" Frank !!!
