Paul Johnson, 58, passed away on July 9, 2015 at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown. He was born on August 9, 1956 in Des Moines to William and Maryellen (Reese) Johnson, Sr.
Paul served in the Navy following his graduation from Saydel High School in 1974. After his time in the Navy, he worked for the United States Postal Service until his retirement.
He is survived by his brother, Bill Johnson, Jr., wife, Lois, Jim Johnson and Fred Johnson, wife, Sherry Witt; niece, Katie Coon, husband, Nathan; and nephew, Will Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 pm on Monday July 13, 2015 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines with a graveside service at 11 am on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Adel.

Can't believe only two people had anything to say about puul.where are all of his friends? I have known Paul since we were teens, and he was a great person.always ready to help others anytime. He was a lot of fun to be around, and will be missed very much by myself and I'm sure many others as well.

Hello Johnson family. So sorry for your loss. I always remember Paul as a kind person. He always seemed rather shy and reserved. He was way too young to die. Will be thinking of and praying for you.
