Service Details

Max Everett Ingle, 88, passed away peacefully at home in the care of family and friends on Saturday, July 4, 2015. He was born at home in rural Runnells, Iowa on November 18, 1926 to Goldie and Osie Belle (Freel) Ingle. He grew up in the Ivy/Runnells area and graduated from East High School, class of 1944. Max served in the United States Navy from 1945-1946.

Max farmed for many years, raised Shetland ponies and horses, and was a successful business owner. He was a talented singer and loved to sing. He was a dedicated and loving father and grandfather, not only to his family but to many others as well. Max was always wearing his cowboy boots, looking for a game to play (win!), and NOT driving his red Cadillac.

Those left to honor his memory include his sons, Tom (Dorothy) Kitselman of Lake Wales, Florida, William (Marti) Ingle of Altoona and Jack (Kathy) Ingle of West Des Moines; daughter, Donna (Reggie) Stadwick of Warren, Michigan; daughter-in-law, Judy Weland of Eagle Grove; grandchildren, Shelly Hilsenbeck (Kevin), Todd Kitselman (Jen), Mike Weland (Jacci), Mitch Weland (Billie), Tyler Ingle (Connie), Cara Armstrong (Dennis), Raquel Ingle, Jackson Ingle, Nolan Ingle, Ron Stadwick and Kellie Murphy (Mike); 12 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; brother, Norm Ingle of Runnells; sisters, Velma Blake of Schaller and Juanita Watts of Texas; brother-in-law, Leo “Junior” Gaulke of Bondurant; and a host of other family and beloved friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jeanette; his sister, Doris Gaulke and his son, Scott Weland.

Visitation will be held from 3-7:30 p.m. with the family greeting from 5-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Runnells Christian Church, 309 Brown Street in Runnells. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 9, 2015 at the church with burial to follow at Canfield Cemetery.
