Edward O. Weed, 61, passed away peacefully Friday, June 19, 2015 at his home with his family by his side.
Ed was born August 6, 1953 in Des Moines to Wayne and Gladys Weed. He loved music and enjoyed playing guitar with his friends on the Southside. He liked all types of racing and hanging out in his “man cave.”
Ed is survived by his wife of 37 years, M. Sue Weed; son, Derek (Angie) Weed; daughter, Alexis (Jeremy) Peterson; grandchildren, Paityn, Cooper, Damion, Savannah, Micayla, and Carter; and his siblings, Jane Carpenter and James (Esther) Weed.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Colby; brother, Richard Weed; and his parents.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, June 25, 2015, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Family will begin greeting friends at 1:30 p.m. prior to the service.

My condolences goes out to Sue and family. I'am sorry I can't attend due to previous commitment. I still remember the good times I had with Uncle Eddy like the time we went to Red Rock. We had a blast. He will be missed in my heart.

My condolences to Sue and family members regarding Ed's death. I pray you experience God's grace, mercy & strength as you move through the grieving process. The psalmist writes in Psalm 116: 15, "Precious in the sight of the Lord are the death of His godly ones."
