Richard W. Willock

Richard Wayne Willock, 85, passed away at his home Thursday, June 18, 2015.

Richard was born November 4, 1929 in Des Moines to Wilbur and Ida May (Marsh) Willock. He graduated from East High School in 1948. He served in the United States Army in Germany during the Korean War. Richard loved baseball, running, boxing and tennis. He had many nieces and nephews that he loved to brag about.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Grace Romore, Eunice O’Brien and Wilbur “Buddy” Willock.

He is survived by his siblings, Barbara Riebhoff of Lacona, Iowa and Harold (Janice) Willock of Des Moines; and a host of nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, June 26, 2015 at Southtown Baptist Church, 6001 SE 5th Street. Family will greet guests starting at 1:00 p.m. at the church. Private family burial will be held at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery.
