Marjorie Olson, 93, went home to be with the Lord on June 13, 2015. Services will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines at 12:00 p.m. with visitation 2 hours prior. Burial will be at Masonic Cemetery in Des Moines.
Marjorie was born on April 28, 1922 in Boone, Iowa to Zoe and George Crooks. She graduated from Jordan High School in Boone, Iowa and served in the Army Air Force during WWII from 1944-46. She taught Sunday School for 51 years and was very involved with her church, Clifton Heights Presbyterian. She was also a member of the Des Moines Chapter 89 O.E.S. Marjorie worked in various positions including, babysitting, J.C. Penny’s, Montgomery Wards and Meredith Corporation.
She is survived by her daughters, Georgie (Floyd) Binns and LuAnn (John) Hoxeng; 6 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Marjorie was preceded in death by husband, Lloyd; her parents; 3 sisters; and 1 brother.

Memories are flooding back! There's very little in my growing up that doesn't include The Olson's, and for that I am so thankful. Love and prayers to Georgie and Lu and families.
