Dona Lloyd

Dona K. Lloyd, 77, passed away Friday, June 12, 2015 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston.

Dona was born August 31, 1937 in Hubbard, Iowa to William and Doris Thompson. She had worked as a legislative secretary for the State of Iowa for many years and later retired from the Des Moines School District where she had been a teacher’s aide for 12 years.

Dona is survived by her husband of 54 years, John Lloyd; sons, Mike and Patrick Lloyd; grandchildren, Logan and Grace Lloyd; brother, Bill Thompson; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and beloved friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Visitation of Remembrance will be held from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a funeral liturgy at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, June 21, 2015 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street.
