Robert Hokanson

Robert J. Hokanson, 88, died Monday, October 8, 2007 at Valley View Village. Funeral services will be held at 2:30pm, Thursday, October 11, 2007 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Resthaven. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.
Robert was born September 7, 1919 in Odebolt, Iowa. He worked at Firestone Tire Company for 28 years as a tirebuilder and in the warehouse until his retirement in 1980. Robert was a member of Grand View Lutheran Church. He served in the US Navy. Robert enjoyed doing carpentry and working on mechanical things. He and his wife loved to fish at Lake Ponderosa.
Robert is survived by his sons, Alan (Goldie) Hokanson and Dan (Dorothy) Hokanson; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alvina, his daughter, Sandra and a grandson Terry.
Memorial contributions may be made to Kavanagh House on 56th Street.
