Clara Mae Prock

Clara Mae (Tharp) Prock was born January 12, 1932 in Des Moines, Iowa to Marble and Edith Tharp. She passed away Thursday, June 11, 2015 at the age of 83.
Clara married William Prock and was a homemaker. She was a member of Kingsway Cathedral and enjoyed singing at church.
She is survived by her husband, William; children, David (Rita), Steven, Susan (Thomas) Prock-Thacker, and Linda (Ron) Shahan; nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and six siblings.
Clara was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Lonnie, and brother, Bobby.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 15, also at Hamilton’s, with interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Our love and thoughts and our prayers are with you and your entire family. Remembering all the good times when she cut my hair and when they had an ice rink in their back yard and we would go there to play with our cousins and sometimes after school. She would always pinch our cheeks and I would always know she loved me.

Aunt Clara, I have some many fond memories of staying over your house with Uncle Bud. My most favorite memory was during Christmas time. You had a beautiful Christmas tree setup & you made sure I watched Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer for the first time. That memory has stuck with me for 40 years. I know you are in a better place, but that won't stop me from missing you.
