Bryan Casey Hall
Des Moines
Bryan Casey Hall “Goose” was born August 27, 1971 in Des Moines to Jim Hall and JoEllen Larue. He passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, June 9, 2015.
Goose lived his entire life on the Eastside. As a youth he was a star at Salvation Army Basketball and Fairground Little League, being especially proud of his county and state championships. He graduated from East High School, lettering in baseball. He went on to play fast pitch softball for fifteen years with his beloved Spirit. He then went on to find a true love in coaching girls’ softball. He truly adored the girls that played for him and they love him. The girls brought him a joy like no other, especially his DVS Elite. Goose was an avid St. Louis Cardinals, Steelers, and Hawkeyes fan. He enjoyed music, video games, hanging out at Kale’s, Gary’s garage, card night, sprint cars, trout fishing, and anything that involved friends and family. To Goose, friends were family and family were friends.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife of seventeen years, Jessica, and his two beautiful daughters, Casey Lee and Christa Jo, who he loved more than anything. He is also survived by his father, brother Jason (Chantyl), three nieces and three nephews, and countless other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his mother.
Services will be held at Berean Assembly of God Church, 5299 E University Ave, Pleasant Hill. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 11, 2015. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 12 followed by burial at Oakwood Cemetery.

So sorry to hear about Bryan. Through the years he was always courteous and respectful to us when we met, whether at the ballpark or in the "Hall Neighborhood". I'll never forget how upset he got when he didn't get to be the starting pitcher of an East High baseball game but will always remember how he could undress an opposing batter with his change up, especially to end the game. So sorry for your loss.
