Service Details
CeLesta Emma Miller passed away peacefully Saturday, October 6, 2007 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. Prior to the memorial a graveside service with family will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 20, 2007 followed by a memorial gathering from 4-7 p.m. at Country Club Crossings Community Center, 1101 Hickory Blvd. in Altoona.
Born August 5, 1931 to Ralph and Margaret Davis, CeLesta grew up in the Boone area and resided at Lake Panorama and Des Moines throughout her life.
CeLesta is survived by her children, Pamela (Lynn) Davis, Michael Miller, Dwight Miller, Mark Miller, Christine Miller, Angela (Rick) Tuthill and Kelli Beck-McKean (Travis McKean); 7 grandchildren; brothers, Russell (Shirley) Davis and Rev. Larry (Pat) Davis and many nieces and nephews.
Hamilton’s Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Dear Cousins:
I want to express my condolences at this difficult time. I was sorry to hear of Aunt CeLesta's passing. I have thought about her often since I became aware that she was having medical issues, and I have wondered how she was doing. I am grateful that she is no longer suffering or in pain, and I know that she is in a peaceful, happy place now. I hope that you can take some comfort in that knowledge as well. Though I will not be able to travel to Iowa for the memorial service, know that you will be in my thoughts.

Cousins and uncles,
My heartfelt sympathies to you in this hour of sadness. Although I cannot be there, be assured that I am thinking of you as I dab a tear or two. Even though she has left our presence, CeLesta has rejoined the many other family members that have gone before.
