Linda Louise (Poyner) Behle, 65, of Des Moines, Iowa, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, June 1, 2015, with her loving family by her side.

Linda was born March 31, 1950 in Chadron, Nebraska to Grace Rimmer and Robert Poyner. She grew up in New Castle, Wyoming, living there until she was 18. She met her loving husband, Eugene Behle and they moved to Des Moines, Iowa where they raised their four loving children, Gena Behle, Gene “Bub” Behle III (Stacy), Margaret Stone (Jay), and Jeffrey Behle (Alexandria). She was a cook at the Iowa Senior Jewish Life Center for 26 years. She enjoyed her job and cooking for people.

In addition to her husband Eugene and their four children, Linda is also survived by her step-daughters, Monica Phipps and Vicky Coffman, siblings, Juanita Wheeler of Crawford, NE, Melvin White of Chadron, NE, Betty Wooten of Hardin, MT, Roberta Cardwell of Shepherd, MT, Ida Edlund of Denver, CO, Joyce Baughman of Hardin, MT, Vicky Conery of Wolfeboro, NH, and Jack Cheek of Bingham, NE, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Grace Wilson, father, Robert Poyner, sister, Shirley Williams, brother, Ralph White, grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Rimmer, her best friend, Kathy Dalton, and her foster daughter, Robin DeBorg.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with funeral service to begin at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Interment will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Des Moines.
