Mary Lou Peterson

Mary Lou Peterson, 79, passed away Monday, June 1, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center. She was born October 15, 1935 in Des Moines to Ward and Thelma (Moran) Ogden.

Mary Lou is survived by her husband of over 40 years, Pete Peterson; children, Dick (Angie) Clark, Warren (Jill) Peterson and Mark (Debra) Peterson; her girl, Courtney (Aaron) Clark; grandchildren, Kirk (Jodi), Kevin (Shelley), Kory (Christina), Tom (Laura), Brad (Ashley), Maggie and Desiray; eight great-grandchildren and one on the way; siblings, Betty Hood (Bob), Jim (Norma) Ogden, John (Gail) Ogden and Dick Ogden; and many extended relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandmother, Maryellen Damerval; daughter, Dana Peterson Chandler; and her brothers, Ward Ogden and Bob Ogden.

Visitation will be held Saturday, June 6, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with the funeral service following at 12 p.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Mary Lou will be laid to rest at Glendale Cemetery.
