Marion Lamont Butts was born January 29, 1947 to the late Marion T. Butts and Geraldine Burger. Marion made his transition from this life on Saturday May 30, 2015 in Memphis, TN.

Waiting on Marion to arrive are his father, mother, wife Marion C. Butts, Son Marcus LaMonte Butts, Sister Marilyn Smith, his Brother Nathan Butts along with an abundance of family and friends.

Marion was a native of Des Moines IA where he was member of Evangelistic Missionary COGIC under the leadership of Mother Lucy Fountain. Marion graduated from North High School in 1966, after graduation he then entered into the US Armed Force on September 11, 1966 at Fort. Bragg, NC. Marion later became a resident of Stone Mountain, GA
where he was a hard working man. He retired from Birchwood Meats in Norcross GA after 20 years of service. Marion was also a member of New Commandment Christian Church in Jonesboro, GA under the leadership of Pastor Gerald Bess.

He enjoyed making people laugh and being around family.

Marion leaves to cherish his crooked smile and words of wisdom three daughters, Martina L Lewis of Memphis TN, Maurita L. Graham and Marcia L. Butts, both of Lawrenceville GA; one sister Judith Butts and one brother Terry Butts, both of Des Moines IA; a stepson Rev Paul Harris of Grayson GA; special Friends of family Gregory Jones, Earnestine Farley, Teisha Ideltt and Charlene Cook; 13 grandchildren Markita Butts, Markayla Butts, Marquis Butts, Montez Butts, Justin Butts, Kayauna Graham, Taylor Butts, Jordan Butts, Robert Lewis Jr., Keilani Harris, Paul Harris, Christopher Harris, and Aaron Harris; one great granddaughter London Butts; and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews,
nieces, cousins and friends.
