Eric, was always kind to us, the time we spent together was enjoyable, he could make us smile and laugh. Eric shined when he showed his soul and how much he loved and cared for others. We will remember Eric for these wonderful expression of love. I wish you love Lisa, Tyler, Austin and Family.

Tyler and family, my son, Adam and I were deeply saddened to learn of the death of your father....I remember, years ago, when you and Adam were in elementary school together at Phillips School....we came over to your house a few times and Larry, our husband/dad, really enjoyed visiting with Eric.
Sadly to say, last August, we lost our beloved husband and dad...he died very unexpectedly of an abdominal aortic aneurysm....just 4 short years after he retired....it's so difficult, the pain unbearable, but we know he's in a better place.
Tyler, I was going through a bunch of old photos, and I found some of you and Adam, back in fifth grade (Mr. Adrian's class)...I thought you might be interested in them and would gladly get copies made (think I have like 4 or 5). If so, let me know, either by e-mail or phone (my phone is 515-263-1795). It would be nice to see you again, after all these years.
Take care, and God bless you and your family.

To Erics daughters: Denise Johnson (36), Brittany Locke-Butts (29), and Lorisha Martin (25). Your fathers death is a great loss to many and will be missed by all. I encourage each of you to focus on the circle that you built with your father and not allow the statement of Ignorance is bliss take precedence of coming together as one. Continue to honor your fathers memory of living and loving life by guiding each other, supporting each other and most importantly loving each other.

Our deepest sympathy to the family of Eric. We could always depend on Eric to make us laugh. It seems we just shared a word with him last week, now he is amongst family, and friends waiting with open arms for the rest of us.
Don't be sad just know that we will all see him again.
May God be with you all.

My deepest, sympathy for the family of Eric. It was only yesterday, when we, were children, growing up into adulthood. Now that I look down the road to all those good times we, had as a family will be a part of my life. Your smile and eyes were so, loving. Luv, cousin, gay.
