Shirlee Sitterle

Shirlee G. Sitterle, 76, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, October 6, 2007, at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines. Shirlee was born April 1, 1931 in Colfax, IA.
She is survived by her daughter, Debra (Merv) Anderson. Her son, Mark (Ruby) Sitterle and a step-daughter, Diana Collins. She leaves her grandchildren; Adrea, Laura, Megan, Caleb and Brittany. Also, her great grandchildren; Abigail, A.J., Noah and Grace.
Shirlee was made famous by her grandchildren for the popsicles she made. She was a loving mother, grandmother to all. She was also active with New Hope Assembly of God Church where she was a devoted member. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Sitterle and a grandson, Matthew.
Funeral services will be held 10:00am Thursday, October 11, 2007 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines. Visitation will be held 4:30-7:30pm Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of Shirlee.
