Ronald Piper

Ronald Piper, 76, passed away Friday, May 15, 2015. He was born December 25, 1938 to Christopher and Lucille Piper in Des Moines, Iowa.

Ron retired from the City of Des Moines after more than 25 years of service. Ron enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR, and da Bears. Most of all, he loved his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Carol Piper; children, Christina Rincon, Ronald (Debra) Piper, Donald Piper, and Kimberly Piper; grandchildren, Javier (Jessica) Segovia, Christopher Segovia, Ronald (Jennifer) Piper III, Joshua Piper, Jared Piper, Heather Piper, Donald O’Brien, Stephanie O’Brien Holsten, Alicia Jacobs, and Anthony Maldonado; 20 great-grandchildren; brother, Donald (Jean) Piper; and sister, Nancy (Dick) Ervin.

A memorial visitation will be held from 12 to 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines.
