Dorothy “Dottie” Ehrsam, 56, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Altoona Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born March 12, 1959 in Hudson, Michigan.

Dorothy was a caregiver all of her life, she worked for Altoona Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Parkridge Specialty Care. She was a very thoughtful and giving person who loved all animals and cherished her family. Dorothy also enjoyed going to Prairie Meadows.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Michelle Ehrsam; sister, Kathy (Raymond) McLear; long-time partner, Chuck Tyler; nephews, Brian (Kara) Ohorilko and Cory (Heather) Ohorilko.

Services will be held Monday, May 18, 2015 at Lutheran Church of the Cross, 1701 8th St. SW in Altoona. Family will begin greeting friends at 12:00 p.m. with funeral to start at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Spry Cemetery in Runnells.
