Service Details
Philip W. Johnson passed away October 4, 2007 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday, October 8th at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, Des Moines.
Philip is survived by his son, Don (Linda) Johnson; Grandchildren, Christopher and Cari Johnson; sister, Jeanette (Melvin) Flesher.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nora Nadine Johnson and brothers, Darrel and Jimmy.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Mercy Hospice in Johnston.
Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens is handling the arrangements.

Phil was a special neighbor for the 28 years that I lived 2 houses south of him and Nora. They were like grandparents to my 3 sons (Brian-25,John-23,Andrew-22) growing up. A diehard Chicago Cub fan, we had a friendly rivalry since I was a St. Louis Cardinal fan. Carol and I have fond memories being friends and neighbors to Phil and Nora. My heart felt wishes to Don and your family in this time rekindling the memories of your Mom and Dad. They were special people and their memories will last forever. Peace be with you. Bill (Red) Cross
