Donald Bryant

Donald Bryant, 89, was born August 28, 1925 in Grand River, Iowa to Winona and Roy Bryant and passed away Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Mercy Hospice-Johnston.

Donald was a mechanic with Gibbs Cook. He loved woodworking, and reading. He enjoyed reading Tom Clancy and David Baldacci novels. He loved spending time with his family and his cats.

Don is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Mary Bryant; daughters, Becky Hart and Deanna Carlson; grandchildren, Keenan (Kelly) Carlson, Megan Hart, Vicki (Matt) Zeimet, Brian (Stacey) Carlson and Heather (Mark) Scheuermann; one nephew and three nieces. Along with many loving relatives and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lucille Morrison and nephew Meredith Morrison.

Services will be Monday, May 11, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Burial to follow at Iowa Veterans Cemetery. Contributions may be directed to Mercy Hospice-Johnston in loving memory of Donald.
