Bob Collins, 83, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2015. He was born May 2, 1932 to Jim and Mae Collins. Bob was married to Rosemary on June 15, 1951. They had five children. Bob retired from the city of Des Moines where he was employed for 30 years. He had been a member of the Pentecostal Calvary Apostolic Church.

Bob is survived by his wife, Rosemary; children, Robert E. Collins, Jr. (Penny) of Wisconsin, James B. Collins (Lynette), Roy L. Collins, and Janetrose Frederick, all of Des Moines; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and sister, Dorothy Tharp (Richard). He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James L. Collins; sister, Mary Lou Collins; son, Daniel; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Graveside service will be Friday, May 8, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Glendale Cemetery, 4909 University Ave., Des Moines, followed by a memorial service at 3:00 p.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church, 1503 SE 6th St., Des Moines.
