Sharon Ann Baker, 73, passed away Friday, May 1, 2015 at Rehabilitation Center of Des Moines. Sharon was born August 26, 1941 in Elkhart, Iowa to Virgil and Thelma Canney. She enjoyed spending time with her family, singing hymns, camping, and crocheting. She was last employed by School for the Blind and also worked for Des Moines schools.

Sharon is survived by her daughters, Melody (Bill) Culler and Sherry Woolson; grandchildren, Ann (JR) Dereus, Carl Baker Jr. (Jennifer), Heather, Rebecca, and Emily Culler, and Joshua, Charlene, and Jacob Woolson; great-grandchildren, Noah and Bailey; her brother and sisters; and a host of beloved family and amazing friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Baker and her son, Carl Baker Sr.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 2:30 pm, with funeral service to begin at 2:30 pm, Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Cory Grove Cemetery in Elkhart, Iowa.
