Therese "Cookie" Leporte

Therese “Cookie” Leporte, 73, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at HCI Care Services on 56th Street.

Cookie was born on October 25, 1941 in Des Moines to Anthony and Sue (Chicchelly) Felice. She graduated from Lincoln High School. Cookie operated the Deli at Mercy’s Heart Center for many years. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.

Cookie is survived by her husband, James; children, John (Kathy Hines) Ladurini, Mark (Tracy) Ladurini; Theresa Walter, John (Lori) Leporte, Deborah Coneset and Jeff (Lydia) Leporte; 11 grandchildren; siblings, Tommy (Norma) Felice, Anthony (Janet) Felice, John (Carol) Felice, Sister Suzanne Felice and Norma (Mo) Greenlee; several nieces, nephews, extended family and beloved friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Louise Mattiussi; and her first husband, John Ladurini.

Requiem Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 15 Indianola Avenue followed by burial at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. with the Rosary recited at 6 p.m.
