José Rodríguez-Marín, age 14, died Monday, April 27, 2015 at Blank Children’s Hospital. José was born June 20, 2000 in Irving, Texas to Rosendo Rodríguez and María Elena Marín-Reyes. He was always happy and was a prankster; he loved playing practical jokes on everyone. José enjoyed skateboarding and loved his dog, Psycho. He liked playing video games and soccer and was interested in karate.
He is survived by his parents, Rosendo and María; his siblings, Javier Alexis Rodríguez-Guido, Rosendo Rodríguez-Marín, Jessica Rodríguez-Marín and Jamily Rodríguez-Marín; his grandparents, Juan Marín, Hermelinda Reyes, Antonio Rodríguez and Reyna Guido; as well as many aunts, uncles, friends and other loved ones. José was preceded in death by his cousin, Solana Marín and his uncle, Lupe Marín.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 1, 2015 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral services will take place at Calvary Funeral Home in Irving, Texas.

i miss you like crazy, you was a amazing person i had in my life i miss see you laughing enjoying your self loving ur dog and just being ur self u still have a place in my heart that it wont disappear 9 years without you being around me i wish i can go back in time and see you again making jokes playing on ur game even tho i didnt know how to we had so much memories making marshmallows with chocolate telling you jose let play outside or sometime when the family made a cookout me and you start to dance, i just hope i see you again so i can hug u and tell u how much we miss u rest in peace until this day.

I`ve been praying for you guys. I would of wrote a condolence early but I was in shock. I didn't want to believe that he was gone. He was an amazing friend an amazing guy. we finally started getting close at the end of the eighth grade year. he will be missed. I`m still praying for you guys.

My grandchildren are your neighbors and Christopher had several classes with Jose. All of the kids considered him a dear friend and miss him. We are so sorry for your loss and pray that you will have God's blessing and Angels of peace and comfort to accompany you on your journey thru a new and difficult time in your lives. Know that others are praying for you. Be safe as you travel to Texas and back home.

My son is a student at Hoover and I am deeply saddened for your family. There are no words in the world that can console a parent grieving the death of their child. May god bless you and your family with all of the strength you need to make it through this difficult time. RIP to your angel.
