Ricky Thompson

Ricky Thompson, 29, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

Ricky was born August 19, 1985 in Des Moines, Iowa. He was always joking and laughing and would always try to make other people laugh. Ricky loved spending time with his family and his daughter. He enjoyed playing X-box and worked for Home Plate Diner and Django. Ricky was very excited to be a chef. He loved to cook and could make the best egg rolls.

Ricky is survived by his father, Rick Thompson (Tammy); mother, Monica White (Kevin); wife, Drewnetta Parker; daughter, Allahna Parker; siblings, Jessica Thompson (Tim), Brandon White, Landen Thompson and Lillianna Thompson; nephews, Teegan and Tyson; grandmothers, Frances and Marilyn; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his uncles, David, Dale and William; aunt, Kim; and grandfathers, Billy and Dale.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2015 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines. Funeral service will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, April 18, also at the funeral home with burial at Swan Cemetery in Swan, Iowa.
