Charles "Chuck" Dickey

Charles “Chuck” Dickey died Sunday, April 5, 2015 at the age of 87. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Dorothy; son, Dennis; daughters, Jeannette (Jim) Masear and Pam (Earl) Crabb; grandchildren, Michael, Jeff, Greg, Tricia, Jeannie, Traci, Brandon, Trevor, Jamie and Jodi; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, Delores Waldron and Alan. He was preceded in death by his son, John; grandchildren, Steven and Janna; sister, Norma; and his parents, Charles and Thora.

Chuck loved being with family and friends, especially at his acreage near Rathbun Lake where he spent many years camping, fishing and boating. He and Dorothy enjoyed traveling throughout the country in their RV, listening to music, and playing cards.

Visitation will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, April 9, 2015, with funeral service following at 1:00 p.m., at Unity Lutheran Church, 1440 E 33rd Street, Des Moines. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Pleasant Hill.
