William Nessen

William “Wild Bill” G. Nessen, 68, died on Monday, October 1, 2007 at Mercy Hospice Johnston from cancer. Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Thursday October 4, 2007 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street, with a celebration of life immediately following visitation at 7 p.m.
Bill was born April 12, 1939 to Paul and Carmen Nessen in Des Moines. He became an All American Diver while attending Lincoln High School in which he graduated in 1957. Bill served in the Iowa National Air Guard and retired as a truck driver for Keebler Cookie Company. In retirement, Bill enjoyed working at the airport and spending time with his family. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of over 40 years, Mary Ann; daughters, Melissa Bonanno and Jennifer (Darrell) Einertson; son, Ryan (Tamara) Nessen; and grandchildren, Samantha, Nicholas; and Derek.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Michael Nessen.
Memorial contributions may be given to Mercy Hospice of Johnston.
