Linda Lea Riccio

Linda Lea Riccio, 64, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at her home in Des Moines.

Linda was born February 19, 1951 in Des Moines, Iowa to Donald and Arlene (Wicker) Bown. She worked for Iowa Clinic and Methodist Medical Center for over 30 years. Linda was a member of Basilica of St. John and the Cyclone Corvette Club. She was a strong woman, surviving Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Her family was her life and she loved spending time with all of her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed shopping with her granddaughter, Alexis and spending time with her grandson, David after school. Linda liked doing yardwork and cleaning cars with her husband, Joe. She spent time doing crafts and took pride in taking care of her home. She was a very social person and enjoyed visiting with friends and neighbors. She was a giving and selfless person and was known to cook pasta for the entire neighborhood.

She is survived by her loving husband, Joe; her sons, Joseph A. Riccio, Jr. and fiancé Monica Cateron and David J. Riccio and fiancé Janet Cunningham; and her grandchildren who were her pride and joy, Alexis Riccio and David Riccio, Jr. She is also survived by her sisters, Karen, Mary and Donna; brothers, Denny and John; and many nieces, nephews, and good friends. She joins in heaven her parents; sister, Janet; and brother, Tom.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., Friday, April 10, 2015 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 11, also at the funeral home.
