Duane DeMoss

Duane Dean DeMoss, 70, was born March 25, 1945 in Runnells, Iowa and passed away Monday, April 6, 2015.

Duane was Army Veteran in the Vietnam War. He loved being outside, especially going on long walks. Duane enjoyed listening to music, especially on his transistor radio.
He was a car buff years ago.

Duane is survived by his sister, Dorothy (Frank) Nelson of Prairie City; nieces, Chris (Todd) Cushatt, of Runnells and Sherry (Adam) Meador of Prairie City; great-nieces and nephew, Amber, Shawna, Mackinzie and Zach; great-great-nephew, Brandon; aunts, Thelma Smith and Florence Goldberry both of Carlisle and Beulah Curry and Sharon Curry, both of Des Moines. Other loving relatives and many special friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew Douglas Lee Hevlin

The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Hamilton’s Mitchellville Funeral Home, 303 Center Avenue South. Funeral services will be held at
2:30 p.m. Friday, April 10, 2015 at Mitchellville Christian Church, 210 3rd Street NW with burial to follow at Mitchellville Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Winterset Care Center North or the American Cancer Society in loving memory of Duane.
